Early Childhood Education
Early childhood is a unique period. The curriculum is based on active forms of learning and inquiry and on firsthand experiences. It is framed in terms of activity and experience rather than knowledge to be acquired and facts to be stored. We use the Montessori method of learning where children learn about their culture, society, animals and plants in addition to reading, music, language, mathematical and motor skills. Each class has a teacher and an assistant teacher who guide and encourage the students to learn at their own pace. Our program encourage the students a sense of independence, – children are always asked if they want to try a task, if they need help doing it or if they feel they aren’t ready.
